Funeral and cremation services in Hobbs
Hobbs, in Lea County (the county seat is Lovington), had 40,508 residents in the 2020 Census. Four providers are based here: Chapel of Hope, Calvary Memorial and Griffin funeral homes, and Memory Gardens, a family-owned direct cremation and burial provider that describes itself as an alternative to a funeral home. All four say they answer around the clock.
Who owns what

What it costs
None of the Hobbs providers listed here publish prices online, so call and ask for the General Price List. Under the FTC Funeral Rule, every funeral home must give you itemized prices on request, including over the phone. The best comparison question is: "What is your total price for a direct cremation, including pickup, the state's $230 cremation-permit fee and tax?" For reference, published direct cremation prices across New Mexico range from $895 to $3,604 (see every published price).
